National pride projects
National pride projects are the large projects the Government of Nepal treats as national priorities: airports, highways, hydropower, irrigation, water supply and others. Many have run years behind schedule and cost far more than first estimated. Each page shows what a project is meant to deliver and every official figure we have found on its cost, spending, progress and completion date, with the date each figure describes and its source.

“+” under a date or cost is how far the latest official figure is beyond the first one. It is calculated by Policy Nepal, and only where both figures use the same calendar or are both in rupees. Dates are shown as each source wrote them.
