Parliamentary Special Committee on Disaster-related Study and Monitoring of the Bhote Koshi and Kali Gandaki Corridors
What this committee does
Formed by the National Assembly sitting of 15 Asoj 2083 under rule 167 of the National Assembly Rules, 2075, after the Bhotekoshi flood of 10 Bhadra 2083 and the heavy rain of 9–11 Asoj, to study all aspects of the disaster and report to the National Assembly: review disaster-risk preparedness, loss of life and property, search for the missing and affected, rescue, relief and compensation, treatment of the injured, management of the dead and rehabilitation; analyse the impact of climate change; and recommend a roadmap for rehabilitation, reconstruction, risk reduction and climate justice.
