Under the Work Division Regulation, 2083 this ministry joins the former Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation with the former Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration. What it has delivered

Challenges

Cooperative savings at risk: the High-Level Economic Reform Commission notes that many savings and credit cooperatives cannot return members' savings because regulation needs strengthening and some practices go against cooperative principles; about two dozen have been declared problematic.
