What does it do?
- The land sale and distribution commission must publish a notice (Schedule 1) to examine who holds land in the Raptidun development area: whether they received it under the Regional Development Plan (Raptidun Land Distribution) Rules, 2013, hold it under orders of earlier commissions, have simply settled on it, or received only a land slip without land. Every holder or occupier must file a statement (Schedule 2) with the commission within 60 days of the notice. Nepal Law Commission Rule 3(1)-(2), PDF p. 2; Schedules 1-2, PDF pp. 4-9
- For statements filed in time, the commission must post a notice in a public place in the village or municipality where the land lies, giving people at least 15 days to appear.
