What does it do?
- When the Government of Nepal sets up any office other than a central office, it must fix the office's area of work using the boundaries of a development region, zone, district, district sub-area (ilaka), municipality or village development committee, and ward. If needed, the area may instead be based on one or more village development committees or municipalities within a single district.नेपाल सरकारले केन्द्रीय कार्यालयबाहेक अन्य कुनै कार्यालय स्थापना गर्दा क्षेत्र, अञ्चल, जिल्ला, जिल्लाको इलाका, नगर वा गाउँ विकास समिति र वडाको सिमानालाई आधार मानी कार्यक्षेत्र तोक्नुपर्छ। आवश्यकता अनुसार एउटै जिल्लाभित्रका एक वा एकभन्दा बढी गाउँ विकास समिति वा नगरपालिकाको सिमानालाई आधार मानी पनि कार्यक्षेत्र तोक्न सकिन्छ। Nepal Law Commission Rule 2, PDF p. 1
- The government may set up a single office whose chief covers more than one region, zone, district or smaller area. If such an office covers several districts, zones or regions, the government must provide a separate unit and budget for each one, and must name the headquarters town where the office will be based.नेपाल सरकारले एकभन्दा बढी क्षेत्र, अञ्चल, जिल्ला वा सोभन्दा साना क्षेत्रको कार्यक्षेत्र एउटै कार्यालय प्रमुखको अधिकारक्षेत्रभित्र पर्ने गरी कार्यालय स्थापना गर्न सक्छ। त्यस्तो कार्यालयले एकभन्दा बढी जिल्ला, अञ्चल वा क्षेत्र समेट्ने भए प्रत्येकका लागि छुट्टाछुट्टै इकाई र बजेटको व्यवस्था गर्नुपर्छ र कार्यालय रहने सदरमुकाम पनि तोक्नुपर्छ। Nepal Law Commission Rule 3(1)-(2), PDF pp. 1-2
