What does it do?
- These one-page Rules do one thing: they name the officer who imposes penalties under Section 10 of the Hotel Management and Sale and Distribution of Liquor (Control) Act, 2023. - So anyone facing a penalty under Section 10 of the Act deals with the Chief District Officer of the district concerned. - The Rules were made under Section 12 of the Act and took effect immediately.
