What does it do?
- These Rules give an entertainment grant for Nepali Army soldiers, to be spent on things such as sports, musical instruments, radios, record players, newspapers and books. They apply to Subedars, Jamadars and other ranks (combatant) and to non-combatants. The grant is given to formations, units and sub-units according to their authorised strength in the Army's order of battle.यी नियमहरूले नेपाली सेनाका जवानको मनोरञ्जनका लागि खेलकुद, बाजा, रेडियो, रेकर्ड प्लेयर, समाचारपत्र र किताब जस्ता सामानमा खर्च गर्न मनोरञ्जन अनुदान दिने व्यवस्था गरेका छन्। यी नियम सुबेदार, जमदार, अरू दर्जा (कम्ब्याटेन्ट) र नन कम्ब्याटेन्टलाई लागू हुन्छन्। अनुदान सेनाको ब्याटल अर्डरमा तोकिएको फर्मेसन, युनिट र सबयुनिटको तफ्रीबमोजिम दिइन्छ। Nepal Law Commission Rules 1(2), 2(b), 3 and 4(1), PDF pp. 1-2
- The grant may be Rs 3 per person per year. Where a unit has fewer than 100 soldiers its sub-unit may get up to Rs 50 extra, and sub-units with up to 300 up to Rs 25 extra. A military hospital may get an extra Rs 200 a year for patients, small posts in remote places up to Rs 50 a year extra, and, when Army Headquarters or a formation holds competitive sports or other entertainment, up to Rs 2,000 may be given to Army Headquarters.प्रत्येक व्यक्तिलाई वार्षिक तीन रुपैयाँका दरले मनोरञ्जन सुविधा दिन सकिन्छ। युनिटको तफ्री सय जवानभन्दा कम भएमा सबयुनिटले पाउने रकममा रु. ५० सम्म र तीन सयसम्म तफ्री भएका सबयुनिटलाई रु. २५ सम्म थप दिन सकिन्छ। सैनिक अस्पताललाई रोगीका लागि वार्षिक रु. २०० थप, दुर्गम वा एक्लासे ठाउँका साना टुकडीलाई वार्षिक रु. ५० सम्म थप र जङ्गी अड्डा वा कुनै फर्मेसनले प्रतियोगितात्मक खेलकुद वा मनोरञ्जन कार्यक्रम गर्दा जङ्गी अड्डालाई रु. २,००० सम्म विशेष सुविधा जिम्मा दिन सकिन्छ। Nepal Law Commission Rule 4(2)-(6), PDF p. 2
- The Chief of the Army Staff allocates the grant within the approved budget and may delegate this to an officer or department. The Army Supply Depot takes charge of the budgeted amount through the Kausi Toshakhana.
