Within 15 days of registering a claim, the Tribunal must summon the borrower, who has 15 days to reply. If the borrower or family cannot be found, the summons is posted at the home before witnesses; companies may be served by registered post, fax or email, and unreachable defendants by radio, TV or national newspaper. Nepal Law Commission Rules 7 and 8(1)-(5); Schedule 2, PDF pp. 3-4, 17

- On the Tribunal's order, the Debt Recovery Officer gives the borrower at most seven days to pay the full principal and interest. Notice runs in a national daily for 35 days (land and buildings) or 15 days (movable property). If bids come in below value, a second round runs 15 or 7 days and a third 10 or 5 days. If the third still falls short, the bank must take the property at the set value and the loan is treated as repaid. Auction costs come first; any surplus goes back to the borrower or guarantor. Nepal Law Commission Rules 29(2)-(5) and 29क(1)-(2), PDF pp. 10-11
