What does it do?
- This ordinance amends Sections 2, 4, 7, 8, 15 and 21 of the Social Security Act, 2075. It was issued under Article 114(1) of the Constitution while the Federal Parliament was not in session. - A new Section 7 sets up a 'helpless single women allowance'. It covers widows. - A new Section 8 gives the disability allowance to citizens holding a 'complete' or 'severe' disability identity card under federal disability-rights law. A new Section 15 bars from social security allowances people holding a government or public post, and people regularly receiving pay, pension or other benefits from government at any level or from bodies owned by government. - Under Article 114(2)(c) of the Constitution, an ordinance not otherwise ended lapses 60 days after both Houses meet.
