What does it do?
- The Act sets up a Federal Contingency Fund for urgent work needed immediately in special situations caused by sudden or unforeseen events, such as earthquakes, floods, landslides, fires, epidemics and other natural or man-made disasters. - Rs 10 million was transferred into the fund from the Federal Consolidated Fund, and the government may increase the amount by notice in the Gazette. The government may spend from the fund on emergency work, and must reimburse the amount spent from appropriations made under each year's Appropriation Act.
