What does it do?
- The Act establishes Mid-Western University, funded by the government, to provide quality higher education in arts, science, medicine, law, management, education, technical and other professional subjects and make it accessible to people in remote areas. - The Prime Minister is Chancellor and the Education Minister Pro-Chancellor, each able to inspect and direct the University; the Vice-Chancellor is the full-time chief. - The University must work in line with national education policy, and must get Finance Ministry approval before creating posts or adding pay and benefits that burden the government. Gaps, loopholes and improvement ideas
- Not enforced Spending has exceeded what the Assembly approved.
