What does it do?
- Tribhuvan University continues as an autonomous corporate body headquartered in Kathmandu, responsible for higher education, training and research through its institutes, faculties, research centres and departments, constituent campuses and affiliated campuses. - The Prime Minister is Chancellor and the Education Minister Pro-Chancellor. The full-time Vice-Chancellor, appointed by the Chancellor for four years on the recommendation of a committee chaired by the Pro-Chancellor, runs the University day to day. - The University fund comprises government grants, borrowing, donations and fees; its accounts are kept under prevailing law and its final audit is done by the Auditor General. Since 2077, higher education is free at the University and its constituent and community institutions for Dalit, marginalised, disabled and economically poor students who meet the criteria. Gaps, loopholes and improvement ideas

- Not enforced Section 25 requires the University's final audit by the Auditor General, but 105 campuses and units — including the Teaching Hospital, Tri-Chandra Campus and several institute dean offices — had not submitted financial statements for audit that year. Ideas to fix it
