Gaps, loopholes and improvement ideas
- Outdated The Act has not been aligned with the federal structure. The Constitution put provincial police administration and peace and security on the provincial list and town police on the local list, but the Auditor General reported in two successive years that the Local Administration Act 2028, along with other home-administration laws such as the Essential Goods Protection Act, the Explosives Act and the Narcotic Drugs (Control) Act, had not been amended to fit the federal structure. Office of the Auditor General, Nepal · Office of the Auditor General, Nepal OAG 63rd Annual Report, MoHA chapter, para 9, printed p. 265 (PDF p. 297); OAG 62nd Annual Report, MoHA chapter, para 10, printed p. 303 (PDF p. 333)
